GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Under the Store Leaders' supervision, performs administrative and supervisory work to direct the operations of local ABC System Stores. This position is limited to a maximum average of 30 hours per week.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS

An employee in this class executes the regulatory and retail operations of a store in the local ABC System. Work includes the use of a computer, point of sales system, and an inventory control system. Also, work is somewhat complex, with emphasis on assuring operations follow ABC Commission regulations. The employee must make decisions that impact daily operations and implement best practices, procedures, and polices. Work also involves the training of personnel. This role may perform work duties similar to subordinates at times. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Store Leaders and Assistant General Manager. Work in this class is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs all duties of the Customer Experience Specialist position, plus the following additional duties.

• Executes work schedules prepared by Store Leader and assigns subordinate employees to specific duties.

• Participates in sales activities and directs employees in all sales activities.

• Documents performance of subordinate employees and relays feedback to Store Leaders.

• Participates in, and/or supervises employees engaged in, sales duties with both retail and mixed beverage customers, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions, and performs work of subordinates as needed.

• Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales and recordkeeping procedures and practices.

• Answers customers' complaints or inquiries.

• Locks and secures store.

• Consistently participates in loss prevention efforts by engaging with customers to deter shoplifting.

• Assists in building of displays.

• Ensures that all store restrooms, parking areas, and grounds remain clean at all times.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION GUIDELINES

Work Environment and Working Conditions

Work is performed in a controlled climate environment with little or no exposure to natural elements or hazardous conditions. This position may be required to work in multiple store locations, mixed beverage, or warehouse and may be required to travel on occasion using one's personal vehicle. Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds, is required. Physical activities include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Minimum Education and Experience

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Experience in operating a cash register and making change.

• Experience with personal computers.

• Experience in retail sales (preferably retail liquor sales).

• Knowledge of the various brands and the common usage of liquors and merchandise sold in liquor stores.

• Some supervisory experience is required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Part-time Position: This position is part-time, temporary, and/or seasonal. This means there is no minimum number of scheduled hours, and that the need filled by this position is transient in nature.
