Job description
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, a Structures Technician will perform structural installations of equipment using FAA acceptable and approved data. The technician will perform structural repairs of airframe components and design and fabricate parts to maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition with emphasis on compliance with the FAA and evaluates the services offered by the organization with the aim of continuously improving the quality of products and services.
Responsibilities
Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory body.
Perform structural installations of equipment using FAA acceptable and approved data.
Perform structural repairs of airframe components and design and fabricate parts to maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition
Evaluates the services offered by the organization with the aim of continuously improving the quality of products and services.
Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist repairs.
Keep detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines.
Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations.
Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standards.
Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.
Qualifications
A&P License preferred but not required
Must have knowledge of sheet metal equipment and tooling.
Must have an understanding of FAA rules and regulations.
Understanding of aviation documentation, manufacturers maintenance manuals and other technical data that supports the fabrication, installation and repair process of aircraft structural components.
The ability to read blueprints and repair or fabricate structural components from blueprints.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals.
Must have your own tools.
Experience working on rotorcraft.
Must be able to read and write English.
Available to travel as required.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
