Accentuate Staffing a leading commercial HVAC company in the Raleigh area who is hiring a Sheet Metal Mechanic Lead to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering excellent benefits, working Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanic Lead will lay out mechanical systems according to blueprints
- Lead will install commercial mechanical systems such as rooftop and split system equipment, central air handling equipment, exhaust fans, ductwork, etc.
- Lead will set up and break down equipment at the beginning and end of each shift
- Lead will review job plans, specifications, coordinate tools, crane rentals necessary for project
- Lead will attend jobsite meetings, coordinate with subcontractors, monitor jobsite safety
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 10 plus years sheet metal experience in commercial sheet metal installation with 1 year leadership background
- Candidates must have a background installing mechanical systems
- Candidates must be able to operate forklifts and heavy equipment
- Candidates must have excellent problem solving and team management skills
- Candidates must have a valid drivers license

- Inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft sheet metal components and composites
- Coordinate purchasing activities of metal, sheet metal, and process purchase requisitions in a timely manner
- Fabricate tools required in the forming of complicated sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Set up and operate soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts
- Cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or products specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing sheet metal products
