The Mission

Leidos is looking for a skilled SharePoint Administrator to enhance the performance of an extensive enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense (DOD). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining infrastructure services, operations, and supporting various classified and unclassified environments through remote management of server farms located in centralized data centers. Your expertise will be essential in deploying, operating, and maintaining SharePoint services, ensuring seamless user experiences, and addressing site setup, permission management, and troubleshooting support for users and content strategists.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Engage with site and collection owners to address service requests and resolve issues.
  • Conduct implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of IT systems.
  • Quickly identify user-specific issues from broader application or system problems.
  • Help develop solutions for complex challenges, and update Knowledge Articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accordingly.
  • Support SharePoint initiatives, including upgrades, routine maintenance, and enhancements to accommodate new requirements.
  • Integrate with Identity Management (IdAM) technologies.
  • Assist users in migrating content from earlier SharePoint versions to SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online.
  • Manage permissions for new and existing site collections, including their lists and items.
  • Oversee access to O365/M365 applications connected to SharePoint technology, like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
  • Conduct necessary data searches and purges from operational systems for compliance and cybersecurity purposes.
  • Administer the asset library, risk database, and business rhythm calendar to maintain stakeholder awareness.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather data, analyze results, and implement solutions for incident tickets and requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive follow-up reports for technical findings, resolutions, and process improvements.
  • Support mission requirements in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Update operations and maintenance documentation for 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with after-hours triage and troubleshooting.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience with SharePoint technologies, including SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, and SharePoint Online.
  • Proficiency in configuring, installing, and securing SharePoint systems.
  • Experience managing SQL clusters in connection with SharePoint farms.
  • Knowledge of patch maintenance procedures for SQL clusters and SharePoint environments.
  • Familiarity with PKI and claims-based authentication methods.
  • Experience with load balancing solutions, such as F5 BigIP Load Traffic Manager or Citrix NetScaler.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365/O365 cloud offerings like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
  • Capability in conducting routine maintenance and scheduled tasks during approved windows.
  • Knowledge of Change Management processes for effective planning, execution, and documentation of changes.
  • Experience in Tier 2 and Tier 3 system administration.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with incident analysis and the ability to identify trends in issues.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team to enhance processes and overall results.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience is required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Certifications:
  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 (formerly DoD 8570) - IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
  • While not required, a relevant certification in VMware, Windows Server Administration, or similar technology is advantageous.
Clearance:
  • Due to the nature of government contracts, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a specific polygraph may be required, or TS/SCI with willingness to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Nintex, InfoPath, and/or PowerBI for managing workflows.
  • Experience with SPPatchify for patch management of large SharePoint environments.
  • Certification such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or equivalent related certification.

Pay Range:

Pay range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00.
