Location: Dallas, TX
We're in search of an experienced engineer specializing in SharePoint On-Premises migration to the cloud, with a comprehensive understanding of SharePoint infrastructure. This role entails collaborating with global teams to mitigate risks related to retiring End-of-Life infrastructure, involving close coordination with product owners, architects, engineers, and support teams. Responsibilities encompass devising engineering strategies to streamline the SharePoint On-Premises infrastructure footprint during cloud migration, ensuring robust Tech Risk controls and successful risk mitigation. The ideal candidate also possesses strong SharePoint Online and OneDrive engineering skills, along with a track record of smooth SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online migrations, backed by at least 5 years of relevant technology expertise. Overall, we seek a candidate capable of contributing their expertise to our SharePoint environment's evolution and risk management, aligned with our strategic cloud migration goals.
Requirements Basic Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 hosted on premise
- Extensive PowerShell scripting for administration of the environment
- In depth Experience with change and incident management processes
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.
- Experience with migrating SharePoint on premise to SharePoint Online
- Good understanding of the integration points between different workloads in M365 (Teams, Exchange etc)
- Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytic skills with the ability to drive timely resolution of complex issues independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Fair understanding of C /.NET
- Experience working in large scale firms with legacy infrastructure
