Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Duration: 12 weeks

Shift: 19:00-07:00

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience in a hospital setting

License: Must have a valid RN license from either Louisiana or a multi-state compact license

Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association

Must-Have:
- Experience in managing all critical care drips, including vasopressors and cardiac drips
- Knowledge and experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Job Description:
- Assess patients' conditions and plan and implement patient care plans
- Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
- Assist physicians in performing procedures
- Observe and record patient vital signs
- Ensure that ventilators, monitors, and other types of medical equipment function properly and adjust ventilators as necessary
- Administer intravenous fluids and medications
- Perform suctioning
- Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team
- Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
- Act as a patient advocate and provide education and support to patient families
