SETA Ground Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force (USSF ) in developing, deploying, and sustaining a National Security Space system within the Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) system program office onsite in El Segundo, CA. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required Position Posture: SETA / A&AS Responsibilities: Support various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessments. Develop and manage ground segment technical and interface requirements. Manage interface negotiation with external stakeholders. Oversee requirements and interface verification. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Support development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes, epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development efforts. Support the development and refinement of acquisition strategies as well as identifying program execution issues and provide recommendations when possible. Requirements: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination Experience with ground systems development, integration, and/or operations of DoD or other Agency (NRO, NSA, NASA, etc.) Experience supporting systems engineering teams focused on integration of complex space and/or ground systems Compensation: Depending on years of experience and degree 160,000-185,000k : 9+ years of experience 185,000-210,000k : 15+ years of experience Benefits: Cigna medical, dental, vision, 401k, 20 days paid time off, 11 federal holidays, and sick leave as required by law This job opens for applications on 02/17/2025.
