2nd Shift Set-Up Attendant - Wood Department
Appleton, WI 2 nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM Pay: $26/hr

ABR Employment Services is hiring a 2nd Shift Set-Up Attendant for a well-established client in Appleton, WI. This position is in the Wood Department and plays a critical role in production support, including machinery setup, quality monitoring, and team support. Ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and leadership or supervisory experience, especially in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:
•   Set up production machinery according to the production schedule.
•   Monitor machine and workplace safety.
•   Coordinate raw materials, pallets, and work-in-process with Material Handlers.
•   Monitor product quality and inspect tooling for maintenance or re-sharpening needs.
•   Edit machine code (including G-code) as needed - no programming required.
•   Assist with training team members on production machinery.
•   Serve as back-up to the Supervisor in their absence.
•   Perform basic machine maintenance and run production when needed.
•   Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
•   Report all activities to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
•   High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; technical diploma or certificate preferred.
•   Previous experience operating CNC and woodworking equipment.
•   Familiarity with editing machine code, especially G-code.
•   Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
•   Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills.
•   Ability to read measurement and gauge instruments.
•   Effective communication and ability to work independently.
•   Lift truck certification (or willingness to obtain).
•   Strong reliability and a positive work attitude.
•   Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
•   Regular standing, walking, use of hands/tools, and communication.
•   Occasional kneeling, bending, and forklift use.
•   Must be able to:
•   Constantly lift up to 15 lbs.
•   Frequently lift up to 30 lbs.
