Description Our client, a global leader in the IT industry is seeking to hire a
Data Center Sales Support Representative. This is a
100% REMOTE position that will
pay $34-$39/hour depending on relevant experience,
works from 8am-5pm M-F, and
starts as a 6-month contract. This role can lead to both extensions and full-time opportunities for top performers. The
Data Center Sales Support Representative provides technology specific support to Solution Architects and Sales by creating Pre-Statements of Work (PSOW), managing and communicating project expectations. The Service Specialist develops and maintains effective working relationships with sellers, business partners, and service delivery teams for a Data Center Environment. Provides input relative to customer trends and surfacing market demands.
Key Areas of Responsibility - Develop trusted partnerships with Solution Architects and Sales to provide services support for Data Center Solutions and related opportunities.
- Be responsive to Solution Architects, Sales, and customers.
- Facilitate training for sales teams.
- Management of peer review process for converged technology opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management concerning industry trends and opportunities.
- Participate in pre-sales activities including conference calls, meetings, and emails.
- Collaborate with internal delivery team for accuracy of service opportunities.
Pre-Sales: Provide pre-sales services support for data center solutions opportunities to Solution Architects and Sales for assigned geographies and segments not limited to server, storage & virtualization.
- Establish & maintain relationships with Solution Architects, technical leads, and business partners to build and generate business opportunities.
- Provide appropriate services solutions to support customer's needs.
- Communicate with customers and potential customers, create and deliver polished SOWs and quotes; and provide timely and accurate work estimates for customers.
Post-Sales: Participate in internal and external kick off meetings. - Become an expert on available and applicable data center solutions portfolio.
- Facilitate and/or provide feedback on change order requests.
Required Qualifications - 2+ years of experience providing pre-sales support and generating Statements of Work (SOWs), quoting, and providing estimates for Data Center environments.
- Experience in technology and related services sales.
- Associates' Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of Server, Storage, Virtualization, and understanding of data center inner workings.
- Candidates should possesses strong skills across the following categories including oral and written communication, time management, project coordination, problem solving, pipeline management, multi-tasking, collaboration, and prioritizing.
- Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications of limited scope or impact, etc., and/or to make presentations inside and outside the immediate work area.
