As a ServiceNow Technician, you support one of our Department of Defense (DoD) customer by overseeing their ServiceNow system maintenance, workflow development, bug fixes, enhancements, and upgrades, as well as assisting with the technical implementation of the tool. You must have hands-on experience with ServiceNow HTML, CSS, Angular JS, Jelly scripts and Restful API webservices, experienced in Java script, html, or CSS, skilled in utilizing best practice engineering methods, possess demonstrated knowledge of incident management, problem management, change management, knowledge management as well as request fulfillment and be a certified ServiceNow ITSM Implementer. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. Perform other related duties as assigned. To thrive, you should have:
• A Top-Secret (TS) clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Systems Engineer, implementing ServiceNow solutions in a Linux environment.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and/or ServiceNow Certified System Engineer.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations and ITOM/ITAM applications (discovery, asset management, service mapping, event management).
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MariaDB), including installation, optimization, indexing, and coding. Responsibilities as the ServiceNow Technician include:
• System Monitoring & Risk Management: Monitor ServiceNow system stability, conduct risk assessments, and address potential service gaps.
• Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain ServiceNow SPM modules, including Agile Development, Demand, Project, Portfolio, and Resource Management.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports to track portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
• User Support & Issue Resolution: Work directly with end users and stakeholders to resolve ServiceNow support issues and provide best-practice guidance.
• Customization & Process Improvement: Modify and customize core applications (Incident, Problem, Change, Requests, Service Catalog) while implementing ITIL, Agile, and PMBOK best practices.
