The ServiceNow Pre-Sales Lead is a critical strategic position responsible for leading technical sales engagements and driving ServiceNow platform adoption. This role serves as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, articulating the value of ServiceNow solutions to prospects and customers, and ensuring alignment between client needs and our ServiceNow capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales Leadership
• Lead discovery sessions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept implementations to showcase ServiceNow capabilities
• Translate complex business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions
• Develop and present compelling technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to diverse audience needs
• Collaborate with sales teams to craft winning proposals and statements of work
• Build trusted advisor relationships with key technical stakeholders in client organizations
Solution Strategy & Design
• Assess client environments and recommend appropriate ServiceNow solutions
• Create solution architectures and implementation roadmaps that address client business challenges
• Articulate the technical and business value of proposed solutions
• Provide technical expertise on ServiceNow platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices
• Stay current with ServiceNow product updates, industry trends, and competitive landscapes
Sales Enablement & Support
• Coach and mentor sales teams on technical aspects of ServiceNow offerings
• Support opportunity qualification and deal strategy development
• Create reusable technical assets and demonstration environments
• Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with accurate technical content
• Assist in scoping and estimating projects for accurate pricing
Business Development
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
• Contribute to territory growth strategies and pipeline development
• Establish strong relationships with ServiceNow partner community
• Participate in industry events to build market presence and generate leads
• Share insights on market trends and competitive positioning
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
• 8+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting roles
• 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow
• ServiceNow certifications (minimum of System Administrator and Implementation Specialist)
• Demonstrated expertise in multiple ServiceNow product suites (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, ITBM, etc.)
• Strong understanding of IT service management processes and frameworks
• Exceptional presentation and demonstration skills
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
• Experience in complex enterprise sales cycles
