Role: ServiceNow Developer Type: Contract (Fully On-Site) Location: Confidential site, Northern Virginia Department: Technical Services Reports to: Deputy Director, Technical Services Purpose: Architect, develop, implement, integrate, manage and administer ServiceNow solutions for large-scale enterprise environments Key Responsibilities: Configure core ServiceNow modules (e.g. Service Catalog, Record Producers, Knowledge Management, Notifications, Assignment Rules, SLA/workflow) based on user stories Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and management needs Execute unit tests to validate functionality against acceptance criteria Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback on fellow developers' work Produce and update technical documentation and ensure all ServiceNow certifications remain current with platform releases Collaborate with architects, project managers and business analysts throughout the software development lifecycle Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience implementing major ServiceNow applications/modules Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform administration and configuration Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred Ability to obtain and maintain at least a Public Trust clearance; TS/SCI or ability to achieve it is a plus Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) Work Environment & Physical Demands: Fully on-site role at a secure government contractor facility Sedentary position requiring prolonged computer use, documentation, and collaboration via digital communication tools Certifications & Training: Complete one ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification within six months of hire
