Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Primary Location: Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA (hybrid)
Duration: Contract-to-hire
Job Overview:
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions to support service management and business process needs. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translating them into effective ServiceNow configurations and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow modules (Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, etc.).
- Develop and maintain JavaScript scripts to automate workflows and business logic.
- Customize the user interface and implement integrations (REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Create and manage Service Portals with user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop dashboards and reports for service insights and performance tracking.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and provide ongoing support.
- Document configurations and solutions for future use.
- Train and support end-users and ServiceNow administrators.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Communicate clearly with non-technical personnel, team members, management, and vendors.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth system changes and provide backup for other admins.
- Set/meet deadlines and assess business processes for improvements.
- Manage time and work effectively under pressure.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide, Jelly).
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
Education (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3-4 years IT experience working with Enterprise Level Applications.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Skilled in process analysis and business process re-engineering.
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities.
