Can be remote - but willing to travel to Deerfield Beach, FL if needed for client related onboarding training / getting started.

Must Have: ServiceNow Configuration Management certification for Washington release or later.

ServiceNow CMDB Analyst - Job Description

As a ServiceNow CMDB Analyst, you will be part of the Operations - Service Management Department, where your primary responsibility will be working with the IT Configuration Management (CMDB) team, enhancing maturity of the CMDB, and driving improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Review and action data management tasks generated daily that identify CIs that are duplicated, have missing required information, are missing relationships, or are stale. This is a critical task that maintains the health of the CMDB data and proactively catches any potential BU CMDB audits in advance.

• Review all incoming CMDB Scoring requests from Service Transition for accuracy prior to deployment. Ensures that the CMDB is complete and avoids future CMDB Audits.

• Provide CMDB guidance during the weekly CMDB Office hours for Audits, Lifecycle tasks and general CMDB questions.

• Gather and document CMDB story requirements for development.

• UAT all CMDB stories from monthly sprint and projects.

• ssist with report development or integration development.

• ssist with ad-hoc tasks related to the 2025 CMDB initiatives
Planned initiatives:

• Streamline CMDB Maintenance activities

• Implement Service Mapping and re-evaluate framework

• Implement reconciliation of Discovered CIs for CMDB accuracy

• Implement Tag Governance within ServiceNow platform

• CMDB reporting enhancement with ServiceNow and PowerBI

• Build training sessions and documentation for CMDB

Job Requirements:

• minimum of 5 years of experience with ServiceNow Configuration Management is required - Washington instance or later

• ServiceNow System Administration Certification or ServiceNow CMDB Certification is preferred - Service Mapping, Discovery, CMDB, Service Graph / Integration (ie. InTune, Tanium, SAM/HAM providers)

• Strong process and analytical skills are essential, including critical thinking, data analysis, research, and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is required, with familiarity in ServiceNow reporting and dashboards. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with business users and IT, and to present solutions at all levels of the organization

• Must be highly organized and possess strong skills in planning, time management, scheduling, documentation, and meeting deadlines

• n innovative mindset is essential for developing solutions through effective use of available technologies

• ttention to detail and a self-starting, inquisitive nature is highly valued

• The ability to be flexible and adaptable while working under strict deadlines with minimal supervision is crucial
