DescriptionSUMMARY Under the direction of the Service Shop Foreman, performs general labor as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
PRODUCTION - Use of hand tools in a safe and proper manner. (e.g. hammer, alignment bar)
- ompletes job assignments in a timely manner.
MAINTENANCE - General housekeeping in area of work. (Clean up work area after each job)
- Maintains the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area including daily emptying of waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location
- Responsible to report any equipment that is not working properly to foreman in charge.
ACCOUNTABILITIES - Follow instructions of supervisor/foreman.
- Communicates well with department foreman and other co-workers.
- Reports accidents or any incidents to department foreman.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS - Skilled in reading, writing and arithmetic in English or Spanish.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to understand & carry out oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to work in non-climate control facility
- Must be able to lift or move up 60 pounds
- Must be reliable and dependable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Simple grasping with both hands, 3-6 hours.
- Reaching below shoulder, 3-6 hours.
- Pushing, pulling with both hands, 1-3 hours.
- Lift materials up to 60 pounds 2 times a day.
- 3-6 hours of standing, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the day.
- 1-3 hours of walking within the warehouse.
- Up to 1 hour of sitting a day.
WORKING CONDITIONSPLANT ENVIROMENT: - Single story insulated metal building with 27' ceiling.
- Indoor / outdoor working environment (including 4' elevated loading dock).
- Temperatures ranging from 60 - 90 degrees, no heating or air conditioning.
- Florescent lighting, and sky lights, low noise level, exposure to welding flash.
