The Information Technology Associate (ITA) is under the general supervision of the Service Desk Supervisor, IT Supervisor II. Perform as tier two and three computer support in a statewide information technology enterprise environment. The ITA will demonstrate proficiency with respect to support of Cal OES mission critical applications along with an understanding of data processing concepts, practices, methods, and principles, including an understanding of the current evolving industry trends and standards. The incumbent will be required to work in a fast-paced environment on leading edge technology platforms and systems in a team environment alongside other IT professionals. Extensive troubleshooting skills of Windows clients operating in an Active Directory environment and be comfortable supporting a range of hardware and software products which include Microsoft products, Lotus Notes, etc. Incumbent must have the knowledge and experience in telephone, low and high voltage wiring, data networking (LAN and WAN), and video teleconferencing services. Provide hands on and telephone technical assistance to all Cal OES staff, while maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
