Service Advisor / Service Guide. Those with sales experience in the mobile phone, high tech, financial services, mortgage, restaurant, and customer service industries have proven to be very successful when switching careers to Service Advisor / Service Guide in the Automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly
- Obtain customer and vehicle information
- Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
- Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
- Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
- Establish follow up time
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
- Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
- Explain all completed work and charges to customers
Qualifications
- Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to manage others
- Organized and friendly personality
- Dealership experience/Service Advisor experience (preferred)
- Professional presentation
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
