Job Title: Service Advisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Advisor. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining positive relationships with clients, and ensuring efficient automotive service operations. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with information, guidance, and recommendations to meet their automotive service needs.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, listen to their concerns, and document vehicle issues accurately
- Schedule service appointments and ensure timely completion of repairs or maintenance by coordinating with the service department
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to determine necessary repair work and provide accurate estimates for services
- Explain repairs and services needed to customers, including explaining the benefits and options available
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles, including the estimated time of completion and any delays or additional work required
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure effective workflow and manage work orders for accurate billing and inventory control
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, services provided, and repairs performed in our database
- Provide exceptional customer service by following up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns
- Stay updated with industry and product knowledge to provide reliable advice and assistance to customers
- Follow company policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and service standards to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in automotive maintenance or repair is a plus
- Proven work experience as a Service Advisor or a similar role in the automotive industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical customers
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency and experience working with databases and software applications
- Problem-solving abilities and customer-oriented approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate customer needs
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
