We are seekingseeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor will be the primary point of contact for our service customers, responsible for scheduling repairs, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring a seamless service experience. This role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Act as the primary point of contact for service customers, providing professional and courteous assistance.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document equipment issues.
- Maintain a positive and proactive approach to customer interactions, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their repairs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up communication and feedback collection.
Service Scheduling and Management:
- Schedule service appointments and manage the service workflow efficiently.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Monitor service progress and communicate any delays or changes to customers.
- Optimize technician utilization and shop efficiency.
Estimating and Invoicing:
- Prepare accurate and detailed service estimates for customers.
- Explain service recommendations and costs clearly and concisely.
- Process service invoices and collect payments.
- Ensure accurate billing and maintain proper financial records.
Technical Knowledge and Collaboration:
- Develop a strong understanding of heavy equipment systems and components.
- Collaborate with technicians to diagnose equipment problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technical advancements.
- Order required parts and supplies for service repairs.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor, preferably in the heavy equipment or automotive industry.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in computer software and service management systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Heavy equipment knowledge is a strong plus.
- Experience with warranty administration is a plus.

Working Environment:
- Work will most often be performed in the office, parts and shop areas. Occasionally the employee will be required to be outside in the yard.
- Some exposure to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, cold, noise and other conditions common to construction equipment dealerships.
- Requires working around various oils, greases and acids, and may occasionally be exposed to noxious fumes and gases such as those from engine exhaust.
