Job Description
The Service Advisor is an essential member of the Sales team responsible for driving new business. This role involves managing inbound leads and actively acquiring new customers through outbound sales methods. A successful service advisor combines effective sales techniques with a solid understanding of landscaping services to ensure that client needs are met while achieving company sales targets. This position works closely with estimators, field representatives, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of projects. A key aspect of this role is delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company profitability

Opportunity for:

• Seasonal employment (9-12 months) or

• Year-round employment with snow removal responsibilities during the winter months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship and Onboarding:

o Provide exceptional customer service to both inbound and outbound clients.

o Evaluate properties to propose appropriate solutions, considering the client's needs and budget.

o Conduct client meetings on-site once a week (6-10 stops) to assess landscaping needs and provide recommendations.

o Navigate budgetary conversations and manage expectations effectively.

o Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers through clear and continuous communication.

Sales & Business Development:

o Handle inbound inquiries from phone calls, emails, and web contacts, ensuring responses within 24 hours.

o Actively prospect new clients and generate business through outbound calls, referrals, and networking.

o Strive to meet personal and company sales goals, targeting $750,000 in new business within the first year.

o Maintain a minimum of 100 client calls per week.

o Achieve a closing rate of 25% or higher.

o Assist with the creation and presentation of landscaping estimates, factoring in labor, products, and materials.

o Work closely with estimators, field reps, and production to ensure alignment and timely project delivery.

Team Collaboration & Support:

o Collaborate with estimators, field representatives, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of projects.

o Utilize support staff to achieve sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

o Meet weekly activity metrics and keep track of client communications and follow-ups.

o Design comprehensive landscaping solutions and property maintenance packages for clients.

Administrative & Operational Tasks:

o Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they are properly introduced to the company's services.

o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and meetings.

o Create and send proposals, contracts, and estimates in a timely manner.

o Follow up with clients on a consistent basis to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities for service.

Sales Strategy & Marketing:

o Participate in and contribute to sales prospecting campaigns.

o Engage in additional calls or meetings during slower inbound periods to maintain a steady pipeline.

o Meet and exceed performance metrics as outlined in the company's sales strategy.


Skills & Qualifications:


Experience:

o Previous experience in sales, customer service, or landscaping is preferred.

o Knowledge of landscaping design, maintenance, and installation services is highly desirable.

Skills:

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

o Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

o Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging customer situations.

o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

o Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for client meetings).

o Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as required.

o Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

Work Environment & Schedule:


• This position requires a combination of office-based work and travel to client properties.
