DescriptionBASIC FUNCTION:
Work bartending/ server shifts as needed. Take orders, make and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in a courteous, efficient, expedient and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Take food and beverage orders from customers and present orders to kitchen/lounge staff and serve. Prepare beverages for customers at the bar and fill server orders according to specifications in an efficient and courteous manner. This will include service of alcohol. Strict compliance with all regulations and policies regarding alcohol service is mandatory.
• Clear and set tables according to instruction.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar and dining room during operating hours.
• Collect payment for drinks from both guests and servers.
• Ensure accuracy of all required paperwork and deposit and ensure all food and beverage orders are recorded correctly and all control measures observed. This includes ability to use electronic point of sale system.
• Maintain strict compliance with all Alaska State regulations and company policies regarding alcohol service, as well as all safety and health laws and codes.
• Monitor and regulate consumption of alcohol and display sound judgment as to when to stop service.
• Complete all assigned side work.
• Assist in monthly inventories.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Will deliver all food and beverages within a specified time with attention to detail.
• Responsible for keeping rooms and hallways clean of dirty dishes. To maintain scheduled floor walks and room checks to help in this matter.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have 1-3 years' experience in bartending, including cash handling. POS or similar experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and possess or acquire a Training in Alcohol Management (TAM) card.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimum of supervision.
