Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. The Sentinel Staff Digital Ecosystem Segment Lead Systems Engineers act as main technical leads within the DE SEIT. Responsibilities include working with other Lead Systems Engineers, the Chief Engineer, and product teams to drive engineering execution, evolve model-based engineering practices, solve complex technical problems, and develop talent. A successful Lead SE will collaborate with other engineers within and across product teams to drive successful product definition and sell-off. The Lead SE will be responsible for engaging customers and senior leadership to solicit requirements and inform on the technical solution. The Lead SE will also be delegate to the DE SEIT Manager, such as representing the DE SEIT for DERB. The ideal candidate has exemplar systems engineering and/or model-based engineering experience. The ideal candidate has experience with performing systems engineering for software-centric systems and/or familiarity with complex systems lifecycle management. This position can be located in Huntsville, Alabama, Roy, Utah or Colorado Springs, Colorado and may offer a competitive relocation package. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related experience, or a Masters' Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years, current and within scope. Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need. 3 years of systems engineering experience throughout the program lifecycle. 3 years of demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with proven collaboration and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholder organizations. 1 years of experience with conflict management and negotiation skills. 3 years of demonstrated ability to make tough decisions. 3 years of demonstration excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization and strong partnership/collaboration skills. 3 years of experience managing technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in MBSE - both performing and leading teams.
Demonstrated experience in program adoption of digital engineering concepts, methods, and processes.
Experience with Project Lifecycle Management, manufacturing, sustainment, and sustainment are a plus.

• Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
