This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as technical responsibilities on the program. Candidates should be highly motivated engineers who can work both independently and in team environments. The selected candidate will get to use MBSE principles to model various processes, tools, and activities that span the Sentinel program. The successful candidate must be proficient in Cameo and DOORs and have an in-depth understanding of MBSE and be willing to support less experienced MBSE teammates through knowledge sharing and internal peer review of work products. What You'll Get To Do: Responsible for assessing staffing needs, current as well as projected and working with the respective team leads to address those needs.
Responsible for supporting recruitment activities including the creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.
Work with program leaders in establishing personal, program, and functional goals as well as performing performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates.
Provide subordinates with career development recommendations, mentoring, discipline, as necessary.
Generate training plans based on the program and subordinates' needs.
It is also expected that the technical role will comprise approximately 80% of the candidate's time. Technical duties may include:
The candidate will lead the Command & Control (C2) Software System Team, consisting of approximately 20 software system engineers and automation test engineers.
Lead a team responsible for developing, performing, and supporting software systems, requirements and automation test activities and test documentation at the CSCI level.
Cost Account Management and Risk Management duties.
Participate in technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for element capabilities.
Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness and compliance of the test program.
Verify specifications and designs through requirements, testing, test data processing, and support modeling and simulation and performance analysis.
Site and flight test support for subsystem requirement verification.
Create technical reports and present test and analysis results.
Work with various team members to lead automation and integration of functionality with other software system environment.

You'll Bring These Qualifications: 6 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree, 4 years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in requirements, embedded and/or application software test planning and software test execution.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have: Able to create plans and standards for architecture, requirements, and design that can address selection process that accounts for providing safe, fault tolerant, and deterministic operation for critical functions. Critical functions are those functions that perform/support SCF/Critical signal trace threads.
Support requirement decomposition, derivation, and traceability
Support development of MBSE strategy and MBSE implementation
U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
3+ years leading a team, including mentoring and coaching.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
At least 1 year of demonstrated experience as a Cost Account Manager or managing EV for an engineering team.
Prior Experience of ICBM test methodologies.
Experience with AFI Test Directive 99-103.
Experience in CSCI level hardware and software integration testing.
Experience in deployment of embedded software with lab equipment.
Demonstrated ability working with cross-functional teams and customers.
Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira.
Experience with Software Safety (Mil-STD882E)
Experience performing Safety Critical Functional Thread Analysis (SCFTA)
Experience designing and writing requirements for Safety Critical Functions
Experience with USAF Nuclear Surety (AFMAN91-119) and/or Cyber Certification
Experience leading requirements, design, and integration of complex systems
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience Salary Range: $142,400.00 - $224,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
