Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer to its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position is in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What you will get to do: The selected engineer will be responsible for supporting cyber/software requirement derivation and verification planning for the Command and Launch Command and Control Team. The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks dealing with requirement decomposition, compliance tracking, verification planning and verification execution. This will also include: Support MBSE strategy and implementation for the organization
Support requirement decomposition and traceability for software applications
Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for subsystem components.
Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations.

- Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, or 0 years of experience with Master's degree
Principal Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 years of experience with PhD
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an have and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) 1 year of experience with Model Based System Engineering and an understanding of DODAF and SysML
1 year of experience with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS and Cameo PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Understanding of Requirements Development and Decomposition
Experience with Product Engineering Development and Life Cycles
Experience with Department of Defense and/or Missile Systems
Experience with Agile development
Experience with Atlassian Products such as JIRA, Confluence, ext.
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00Salary Range 2: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
