Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program. What You'll Get To Do: Develop and improve processes and metrics for engineering design activities promoting Systems Engineering best practices. Work with multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to understand the metrics and improve engineering products and processes
Work with engineering tools to extract, automate, and report data from various databases to leadership and customers
Identifying gaps within our processes to enable stakeholders to fix issues
Brief status regularly to key stakeholders
Develop top-level engineering processes and governance including the Systems Engineering Management Plan Basic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04). Principal Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD Sr. Principal Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD Required for both levels: Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Strong Systems Engineering skills (3+ years) with experience participating in Systems Engineering Technical Review milestone events
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Requirements management (1+ year)
Demonstrated cross-organizational team leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate execution of multiple technical teams to achieve overarching project goals and confidence to brief IPT, Program and Customer leadership Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICBM or other large DoD Acquisition programs
Extensive MBSE experience (3+ years)
Experience with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirement System (DOORS)
Experience with CAMEO and Teamwork Cloud
Experience with Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management tools
Experience with software scripting in one or more modern, object-oriented languages
Experience with Agile development
Experience developing processes and procedures

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
