Senior Zonal HIL Engineer Job Description
In this role you'll own and design the HIL to support our Zonal architecture and be responsible to create HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) test strategies, test cases and scripts based on internal.
Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do:- Own and design the HIL to support our Zonal architecture
- Create HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) test strategies, test cases and scripts based on internal and regulatory requirements.
- Set-up test equipment and run hands-on tests with the goal to automate
- Support bug triage and analysis
- Identify gaps in test coverage to ensure no future regressions
- Utilize numerical data analysis tools to interpret test results
- Document results and provide reports
- Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control
Qualifications
The minimum requirements we seek:- 5+ years of testing and validation experience.
- Bachelor/master's degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering, or similar.
- Working experience with Matlab Simulink
- Familiar with common vehicle controls theory
- Experience setting up the HIL on dSPACE/Typhoon/similar
- Knowledge of lab instruments such as DMM, Oscilloscope, power supplies, and DAQs
- Expertise with industry standard I/O and communications interfaces, e.g., CAN, CAN-FD, LIN and Ethernet
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Python scripting for any automation or test scripts.
- Expertise in testing any of the following: Vehicle Controls, Thermal Controls, Power Distribution, Body Controls
Preferred Requirements:- Experience with dSPACE and MotionDesk, CarSim, or similar
- Experience with Test management tools like DOORS/Polarion/JAMA
- Test automation set up experience like CI/CD Pipeline
- Familiarity with diagnostics protocol like UDS ISO14229
- Knowledge/familiarity of standards ISO26262 and SAEJ1772
- Experience with automotive regulatory, environmental, reliability, and safety requirements. SAE, IEC, ISO.
Estimated Min Rate: $60ee.00
Estimated Max Rate: $80.00
