Senior Windows Systems Administrator

About the Role:
DPG Solutions is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join our growing team of mission-focused technologists. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Windows expert with a passion for secure system administration, compliance, and team leadership. This role demands someone comfortable working independently and collaboratively-someone who can troubleshoot complex technical issues, lead junior staff, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration and hardening of Windows-based environments in accordance with DoD and federal compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, STIGs).
- Manage patching operations using WSUS and ensure system compliance through routine vulnerability scanning and remediation.
- Implement and maintain secure system configurations and automation scripts for baseline enforcement.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address audit findings and enforce policy compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve system and network issues across virtualized and on-prem environments.
- Mentor junior administrators and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Support proposal efforts, solution architecture, and pre-sales technical engagements as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional planning to align IT infrastructure with customer and business objectives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator in secure environments.
- Demonstrated expertise with RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53 compliance controls.
- Strong background in WSUS, Group Policy, system imaging, and patch lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting for automation and system configuration.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, firewall rules, DNS/DHCP, and endpoint protection tools.
- Ability to lead teams, interface with clients, and contribute to business growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TS/SCI clearance
- Certifications: Security+, CISSP, MCSE, or equivalent
- Experience supporting FedRAMP, DoD Cloud, or hybrid cloud environments
