AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Network Design and Implementation : Design, implement, and optimize WAN solutions to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity across multiple locations.
- Configuration Management : Configure and manage WAN devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Continuously monitor WAN performance, identify issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve network problems promptly.
- Security Management : Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data transmitted across the WAN. This includes setting up VPNs, encryption, and access controls.
- Performance Optimization : Analyze network traffic and optimize WAN performance to ensure high availability and minimal latency.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of the WAN infrastructure, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance and health. Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, including LAN administrators, server administrators, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network.
- Upgrades and Maintenance : Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to keep the WAN infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
- Vendor Management : Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for network services, equipment, and support.
- Disaster Recovery : Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure network resiliency and business continuity in case of network failures or emergencies.
Required Clearance TS/SCI
Required Qualifications: - Experience : Several years of experience in network administration, with a focus on WAN technologies and infrastructure.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or similar credentials.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in configuring and managing WAN technologies, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions. Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards.
- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Education : A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred.
Desired Qualifications: - Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations
- Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations
