Job Title Senior Web Engineer
What does a successful Sr Web Engineer at Fiserv do? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior React and Next.js Web Application Developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using React and Next.js. Your expertise in front-end technologies and your ability to deliver exceptional user experiences will be vital to our success.
What you will do: - Lead the design and development of robust and scalable web applications using React and Next.js.
- Contribute to the overall architecture of our front-end applications and ensure the adoption of best practices.
- Optimize application performance for fast loading times and smooth user interactions.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products.Mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the team.Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure application quality and stability.
What you will need to have: - 5+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React and Next.js.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and modern development patterns.
- Experience with and understanding of Next.js concepts, including server-side rendering, static site generation, and routing.
- Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Zustand.
- Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using Jest or other testing frameworks.
- Experience with techniques for optimizing web application performance.
What would be nice to have: - Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Active participation in the open-source community.
