JOB DESCRIPTION:
seeking an experienced Webmaster / IT Engineer to support a high-priority Front Office Communications Team. This role is responsible for managing and developing websites, providing IT support, and ensuring seamless digital communications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Joomla web administration, front-end development, and IT infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and administer corporate websites, blogs, and newsletters using Joomla.
- Act as a primary webmaster, ensuring site security, accessibility compliance, and performance optimization.
- Provide IT support to the Communications Team, troubleshooting technical issues, managing user access, and maintaining system functionality.
- Enhance website functionality through HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and other web technologies.
- Manage content updates in collaboration with the communications team, ensuring accurate and timely digital publishing.
- Monitor and analyze website performance, using tools like Google Analytics and Matomo to improve user experience.
- Serve as the technical liaison between the communications team, IT support, and external teams.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508, GDPR, CCCA, and other web accessibility standards.
- Maintain SharePoint environments, including permissions, workflows, and content organization.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity best practices for web applications and internal IT systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required
- Extensive experience in Joomla and SharePoint web development and administration
- Proficiency in front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL)
- Experience with IT troubleshooting and system administration in a Windows environment
- Strong understanding of web accessibility, compliance standards, and security best practices
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) for web graphics and design
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a government or intelligence community setting is preferred
This role is ideal for a versatile IT professional with a strong web development, software engineering, and content management background who can work independently and efficiently in a Front Office Communications setting.
