Remote - 25% travel to Radford, VA (one week per Month)
Active Secret Clearance Required Employment Options: 1099 Contract
Contract Duration: 6 Months with extension likely Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Senior VMware Consultant to join their team. In this role, you will assist in the optimization and scaling of the platform to leverage its full realm of capabilities. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge in the consumption of the VCD and ARIA suite products for the purpose of automating use cases such as virtual data center creation. This position requires the consultant to utilize the best method for automation for a given use case (VCD or ARIA automation). The customer environment consists of a VCF/VCD platform and is already deployed across three identical stacks. - Analyze the customer's existing infrastructure and collaborate with team members to develop an optimal strategy
- Document processes and solutions clearly for both internal teams and customers
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely status updates and recommendations Requirements
- Proven experience with VMware Cloud Director (VCD)
- Proven experience with ARIA Automation
- Ability to talk through technical requirements
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an onsite team environment
- Ability to travel to Radford, VA, for one week per month Education/Certification Requirements
- A bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience or 7+ years of equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Security + Certification
- VCP (VMware Certified Professional) Clearance Requirements
