Senior Vice President - Finance Operations
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Corporate Headquarters: Aradia, WI OR Tampa, FL
Position Overview
The SVP of Finance Operational Accounting leads the operational finance for a multibillion-dollar global furniture manufacturing organization, overseeing retail operations, cost accounting, and transportation/distribution financial operations. This role provides strategic financial leadership and operational oversight while managing a complex matrix of domestic and international teams, including offshore support operations in Vietnam and India.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
- Direct financial strategy and operations across retail, manufacturing cost accounting, and transportation/distribution segments
- Oversee and mentor direct reports including VP of Retail Operations, VP of Cost Accounting, and VP of Transportation & Distribution
- Lead a combined team of 75+ finance professionals across global locations
- Drive continuous improvement in operational finance processes and systems
Operational Finance Management
- Develop and implement standardized operational metrics and KPIs across all business segments
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting processes for operational units
- Support cost accounting strategies for manufacturing operations across multiple facilities
- Support retail operations financial planning, including store profitability analysis and retail network optimization
- Oversee transportation and distribution financial operations, including logistics cost management and optimization
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead operational budgeting and forecasting processes across all three business units
- Maintain detailed cost allocation methodologies
- Provide strategic analysis for major operational decisions and investments
- Drive operational performance measurement and reporting improvements
Global Shared Services Leadership
- Receive support from global shared services operations in Vietnam and India
- Ensure effective utilization of offshore teams for operational finance support
- Standardize processes and controls across global locations for the three business units
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification a plus
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Minimum 10 years managing large, complex finance organizations
- Significant experience in manufacturing cost accounting
- Proven track record in shared services operations
- Strong systems knowledge including ERP and financial planning tools
