To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Summary HII Mission Technologies seeks an accomplished Senior User Experience Designer to drive innovative design solutions for mission-critical Department of Defense initiatives. This strategic role will spearhead the user experience strategy for a sophisticated AWS cloud-based program supporting U.S. coalition. The Designer will lead end-to-end UX design for Zero-trust enabled, data-centric information sharing platforms. Our ideal candidate will navigate complex stakeholder requirements across military and civilian environments and partner with DevSecOps teams to ensure precise implementation of design specifications. What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user interface requirements and design innovative user experiences.

• Develop and implement strategic vision for user interface designs, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.

• Align design concepts with user needs and mission outcomes.

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and other user-centered design activities.

• Create and maintain design guidelines, templates, and style guides.

• Work with developers to ensure that design concepts are implemented accurately and efficiently. What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in a related field or high school diploma plus additional relevant industry experience.
7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, product design and/or enterprise application fields or relevant customer-facing job roles.
4+ years of UI/UX experience associated with cloud-based projects.
4+ years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment.
Proven experience in user research, usability testing, and design thinking.
Strong visual design skills with a focus on clean, modern design.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Active secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances during site surveys. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a lap top computer.
