Tyto- is looking for a Unified Communications (UC) Engineer to support a critical initiative to modernize our Federal Law Enforcement Customers legacy telephony systems to an enterprise- Unified Communications solution across all CONUS locations.

This position handles the planning, deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Microsoft Teams Phone System, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and installation of Microsoft Teams-based UC solutions.
  • Assist with coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
  • Assisting with risk assessments for projects
  • Create/update the documentation about the implementation and configuration
  • Setting up and managing call queues, auto attendants, and other telephony features
  • Configuring and managing MS Teams for different devices, including desktop phones, mobile apps, and meeting room devices.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to MS Teams including call quality problems, call routing issues, and device connectivity problems.
  • Providing technical support to end-users and IT staff on MS Teams usage and troubleshooting.
  • Engineering support during deployment- design and deployment of architecture,
  • ensuring that all systems are integrated
  • Troubleshooting issues during testing
  • Managing the Windows Domain environment,
  • Oversee backup systems
  • Managing log collection for systems
  • Manage and support the Microsoft Domain environment for Legacy and VoIP telephony systems ensuring its functionality, security, and overall performance.
  • Oversee and maintain call recording systems, ensuring they are properly configured and operational.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
Required:
  • Strong understanding of VoIP telecommunications environments
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams-based solutions, including Direct Routing, PSTN connectivity, and call queues.
  • Experience resolving complex service problems, performing expert maintenance and installs, configuring and testing all types of telecommunications equipment and services.
  • Experience troubleshooting telecommunications solutions using test instruments and monitoring and diagnostic programs.
  • Experience preparing telecommunications equipment for installation by testing, calibrating, or modifying equipment as required.
  • Architecture and technical support documentation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • BS or equivalent experience with telecommunications services.
  • At least (7) years of experience on VOIP projects.

Microsoft Admin Center, Entra, Intune, Teams Admin Center, Power BI, PowerShell; Avaya Aura Messaging, Communication Manager, System Manager, Session manager; Cisco, Sangoma, DHCP, Avaya Certificates, Linux OS, NAS Storage Systems, Operation Manager (OpMgr), Eventlog Analyzer, Syslog, Backup Systems, VMWare Vcenter

Location:
  • Must be willing to work at customer site in Washington DC.
  • Must be willing to travel to CONUS locations at one to two weeks a month.
Clearance: Fully adjudicated Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
