Position Summary Responsible for both the operational maintenance and tactical roadmap and implementation of all communication systems at WCM, including VoIP, eFax, and Chat/Collaboration. Drive continuous improvements within the organization by focusing on increased automation, improved business delivery and tracking and reporting of change with strict adherence to defined change management and production release management processes.
Job Responsibilities - Maintains, monitors, and manages all VOIP system components, in conjunction with the vendor.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining telephony interconnectivity between primary, backup, and remote sites, along with connectivity (PRI T1 and SIP) to the carrier and the NYP system.
- Facilitates and coordinates the work of vendors, suppliers, and telephony engineers in the resolution of systems fault. Build on existing vendor relationships.
- Documents advanced Enterprise Telecom Solutions using tools such as VISIO, Excel and Word Documents to depict physical and logical associations and integrations.
- Responsible for troubleshooting escalated Tier 3 issues with bridging and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Skype for Business, Cisco Webex, and Avaya Aura Conferencing.
- Participates in the evaluation of vendor hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment products; recommends purchases. Participates in the design and implementation of new systems, as well as upgrades to existing solutions.
- Foster relationships with the user base. Provides phone utilization and billing reports to departments on request. Assists in the creation of analysis reports (CDR, System Utilization, etc.) for customer reporting needs, and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for level 3 trouble tickets in the support of day to day operations, including Move Add Change (MAC) work as needed in support of managing the Institution's communication requirements.
Education - Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience - Related work experience may substitute for some years of education.
- 5-10 year hands on experience in maintenance, operation, troubleshooting design, implementation and management of telephone systems.
- 3-5 years hands on experience in SIP protocols and with diagnosing SIP issues from packet captures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Clear demonstrations of technical, analytical, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills.
