AGE Solutions is looking for a Senior Unified Capabilities Security Engineer to join our team in support of an upcoming cybersecurity risk management and assessment program with our DoD customer.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and completing technical and analytical evaluations of vendor products and expertise to provide certification and risk recommendations to the Approved Products Certification Office (APCO) to add products to the Unified Capabilities APL. You will provide technical advice to various test labs and vendors for applicability of test requirements and risk reduction and mitigation measures resulting in a residual risk statement for certification.

Individuals in this role must be available to work on-site at Ft. Meade, MD for the majority of the workweek.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Review vendor submissions and perform risk analysis for architecture issues and product vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with test labs, APCO, sponsors, and vendors on cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provide input on testing requirements and STIG/SRG applicability.
  • Review and validate meeting minutes, addressing discrepancies.
  • Assess test results for accuracy, effectiveness of mitigations, and residual risk.
  • Develop white papers and evaluations on product risks, interfaces, and vendor mitigations.
  • Provide written risk assessments, certification recommendations, and DTR risk assessments.
  • Prepare and present risk recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain APL Templates (quarterly) and RE5 APL Process Guide (semi-annually).
  • Ensure all APL communications include the APL Cyber Security Team Lead.
  • Coordinate with external entities to clarify cybersecurity requirements, mitigations, and risk management.
  • Attend bi-monthly Data Tools Working Group, MILDEP meetings, internal process reviews, and bi-weekly RE5 APL meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (IT-related field preferred)
  • Eight (8) years of overall experience in cybersecurity or network security position
  • Have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • DoD 8570 IAM/IA Technical (IAT) Level III certification
  • Advanced proficiency in risk analysis, vendor security assessment, and test result evaluations
  • Demonstrable experience reviewing vendor documentation, product security risks, and architecture concerns
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and vulnerability assessments
  • Familiarity with DTRs (Desktop Review), residual risk identification, and certification recommendations
  • Experience analyzing test results, assessing vendor-supplied mitigations, and recommend security improvements
  • Experience developing white papers, reports, and risk evaluations for emerging technologies and interfaces
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement
Compensation: $145,000 - $155,000
