Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Trial Attorney to lead a trial team and collaborate with firm leadership on managing a diverse caseload. This role requires expertise in working with expert witnesses, utilizing advanced litigation technology, and developing comprehensive case strategies. Responsibilities will include trial preparation, mediations, depositions, and mentoring junior attorneys, ensuring a high standard of legal representation.
Duties: - Oversee case management and strategic planning for litigation matters.
- Supervise associates, paralegals, and support staff.
- Serve as first or second chair in jury trials.
- Represent clients in state and federal court hearings.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Lead mediations and settlement negotiations.
- Work closely with expert witnesses in case preparation.
- Draft and review law and motion pleadings.
- Prepare all trial-related documents, including jury instructions, motions in limine, and trial briefs.
- Handle discovery processes, including drafting and responding to requests.
- Manage document production and legal research.
- Engage in professional correspondence with opposing counsel and clients.
Requirements: - Active license to practice law and membership in the state bar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing as an attorney.
- At least 5 years of litigation or trial experience.
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications: Admission to the state bar in good standing.
