Purpose/Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Momentum Credit. Engage in momentum credit review intake meetings, both individual and group, following standards of practice to ensure that students are fully aware of their options and able to provide necessary documentation. Evaluate momentum credit intake information, including research and communication with relevant faculty, to identify and maximize credits students can earn through this process. Maintain a small case load of students ensuring all Momentum Credit processes and procedures are completed. Create, evaluate, and augment crosswalks utilized in Momentum Credit processes.35%

2. Test Administration. Administers, proctors, and scores all of the various testing instruments to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance. Observes college, state/federal, and test agency policies and procedures for security/confidentiality of testing records; includes adherence to FERPA as it relates to CCD policies. Notifies Testing Center leader on duty of any issues that arise during test administrations, including examinee misconduct, test compromises, or other testing irregularities. Become certified in administering all test administration to include high-stakes tests. Provides a climate of good customer service at all times. Performs file system audits and ensures accuracy and attention to details are followed. Secure an appropriate testing environment free from distraction to include equipment and testing materials. Troubleshoots general technology issues with test delivery and assist in the collaboration with IT and tech support. May assist in training new hourly and work-study employees on the aspects of test administration. 30%

3. Technology Use. Able to operate computer programs to include MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook) at a functional level as well as become familiar with various software and internet based test applications. Operates the various computer-based testing programs, lab cameras aimed to enhance digital proctoring, and scoring equipment. Efficient in the use of Banner and inputs testing data manually as well as uploads data electronically. Troubleshoots general equipment/software issues and collaborate with IT and tech support teams. 20%

4. Office work. Greets faculty, staff, and examinees. Performs routine office tasks such as filing, photocopying, shredding, campus mail and deliveries, and maintaining supply of testing materials. Assists in the security of all testing materials and maintains confidential records. May assist in answering phones, appointment scheduling, and data input. 10%

5. College Involvement. Attend Testing Center meetings and professional development as needed or required. Gain an understanding of the Testing Center's role within the college environment. 5%
Qualifications

Education: (required/minimum)
Associate's degree from an accredited institution (psychology, education, special education or other related field). An earned high school diploma or GED with 6 months of testing services experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.

Experience: (required/minimum)

• Previous high quality customer service in an academic or office setting

• Willing to become certified by various testing agencies

• Attention to detail, accurate, and precise record keeping

• Ability to work effectively an collaboratively in a diverse work environment

• Effective building cross-cultural and cross-generational relationships such as with age, individuals with a disability, racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and LGBTQ communities

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Passion for customer service with internal and external stakeholders (students, staff, vendors, testing candidates)

• Dependable and reliable work attendance

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Detail oriented; excellent multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of working professionals, students, staff and faculty

• General computer knowledge and willing to learn how to trouble shoot general computer needs

• Good oral and written communication skills; able to produce documents such as memos, letters, forms, and simple reports

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Willing to learn Register Blast appointment scheduling tool
Supplemental Information

Education: (preferred)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (psychology, education, special education or other related field).

Experience: (preferred)

• 6 months of previous high quality customer service in an academic or office setting

• Experience and certification in administering proctored/secured exams

• Knowledge of FERPA and CCD Code of Student Conduct

Able to demonstrate verbally or in written format the general computer competency (testing programs, student information system, assistive technology, MS Word, limited MS Excel spreadsheet use), test scoring equipment, monitor video cameras in testing rooms, telephone, fax, and copy machine.
Licensure/Certification:

Earn and maintaining vendor testing certifications (ETS, ACT, and others) requirements within 60 days after beginning employment.

Equipment Used:

Computers (testing programs, student information system, assistive technology, MS Word, limited MS Excel spreadsheet use), test scoring equipment, monitor video cameras in testing rooms, telephone, fax, and copy machine.

Other Considerations.

Must be able to work independently and as a team player, plan and organize tasks bringing them to completion, initiative to learn and grow with the job. Prior experience with earning and maintaining vendor testing certifications (ETS, ACT, and others) requirements within 60 days after beginning employment. This is a temporary position and may require some evenings and weekends during peak testing periods.

This position is a part-time position with the Community College of Denver and therefore, is a non-benefit eligible position.
