Job Title : Senior Technical Project Manager - Assessments Location : US (Remote) As our Senior Technical Project Manager, you will perform the following Special Projects activities: - Lead special projects by identifying scope, managing all aspects of solutioning, scheduling, and communications to drive tasks within and between departments until completion.
- Use strong critical thinking skills, to provide solutions, create and own project planning, requirements discovery and documentation, and perform risk and root cause analyses when required.
- Lead with accurate and timely reporting and communication across the Assessment Services team and other business units, driving the execution of cross-functional projects that require formal meetings, extensive research, and technical product knowledge.
You will also perform the following Test Delivery Management activities: - Initiate, maintain, and monitor multiple iterations of the GED test's publication and delivery, from the test assembly to live-in-production stages.
- Manage the use and integrity of various types of secure test source data, both within and externally to item banking software.
- Understand the forecasted GED test portfolio's publishing plans and its rationale for publishing.
- Understand and provide technical expertise for and between the Assessment Services teams, i.e., Content, Measurement, and Program Management, throughout the assessment lifecycle, specifically during deployment, scoring, and post-deployment validation.
Finally, you will also perform the following overarching Program Management activities: - Determine the necessity for and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders; record, distribute, and manage meeting decisions and action items/plans.
- Establish and fully manage processes and secure materials for external vendors/contractors (e.g., item/passage development, committees, special forms, SOWs/contracts, etc.).
- Perform other duties to support the overall Assessment Services unit as assigned.
Your requirements: Education required: bachelor's degree or higher.
Education preferred: Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Experience required: Three or more years working in the high-stakes assessment industry on complex assessment programs as a project, program, or product manager. Additional experience working as a Content Specialist, Content Manager, Test Development Manager, or similar role will also be considered.
Experience preferred: One or more years working in an equivalent role in an Educational Technology (EdTech) organization. Special emphasis on experiences focusing on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is desirable.
Skills required: Intermediate skill level working with systems relevant to the sector, such as test authoring systems, test banking systems, learning management systems, or workflow/task management systems.
Intermediate to advanced level skills with current project management software as well as the M365 suite of applications.
Advanced skills in the ability to quickly identify, resolve, and communicate complex technical issues (such as data anomalies, data integrity, workflow weaknesses and gaps, and business policy implications) with meticulous attention to detail.
Advanced critical thinking, project planning, project execution, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage a variety of projects and individuals and to adapt to unforeseen and unexpected requests or changes in priorities.
Skills preferred: Awareness of the foundations of database structures, API integrations, and/or knowledge of how assessment platforms are built and maintained.
Awareness of automation and AI tools and their impact on high-stakes assessments.
Awareness of data analytics tools, data reporting tools, or business process automation tools such as MS Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, or MS Excel.
The salary for this full-time role falls between $80,000 and $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
