Role:
Heavy Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director focusing on client relationship management
E&P (Exploration & Production) /Upstream oil and gas
- Tax Advisory and Compliance: Advise clients on tax issues related to oil and gas operations, such as drilling costs, asset depreciation, and tax deductions for exploration activities. Ensure clients comply with complex regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels, including tax laws specific to the oil and gas industry.
- Client Relationship Management: You would be a key point of contact for clients, maintaining and developing strong client relationships. Provide tailored tax strategies to help clients optimize their tax positions, address any concerns they have about their operations, and propose solutions to improve tax efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Assist clients with strategic tax planning for large projects like acquisitions, divestitures, or joint ventures. Ensure that clients maximize tax benefits while minimizing liabilities related to E&P activities, including dealing with tax credits, deductions, and global or cross-border tax issues.
- Industry-Specific Expertise: Identify unique tax-saving opportunities for E&P clients. Advising on issues like royalties, production taxes, and international tax treaties affecting global oil and gas operations.
