Job Title: Senior Tax Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing mid-size CPA firm in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will lead our tax department, manage complex tax engagements, and contribute to the firm's strategic growth in tax services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the tax department's operations
- Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth individuals and businesses
- Review tax returns, research memos, and other deliverables
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations, implementing changes as needed
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in tax services
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive client solutions
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership in tax matters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)
- CPA certification
- 10+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a tax managerial role
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Experience with tax software and research tools
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Proven track record in business development
