Key Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Manager -
Oversee and manage the preparation of complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns

Review tax returns and other compliance filings to ensure accuracy and adherence to tax laws

Provide strategic tax planning and advice to high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and families

Manage and mentor a team of tax associates, providing guidance and support for professional development

Work closely with clients to understand their financial situations and recommend tax-saving strategies

Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations, ensuring the firm's compliance with all relevant rules

Assist with tax audits and liaise with the IRS or state tax authorities as needed

Develop and implement efficient processes to improve the firm's overall tax services and client satisfaction

Work Setting: Hybrid in Akron, Ohio

What We're Looking For in a Senior Tax Manager -
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required)

Experience: 7+ years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting

Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of tax laws, tax planning, and compliance

Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and work directly with clients

Software Skills: Proficiency with tax software (e.g., ProSystem FX, CCH, etc.) and strong Excel skills

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients
