Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Tax Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing and managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
2. Managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns.
3. Conducting thorough reviews of 1120S and S Corp tax returns and providing recommendations to minimize tax liability.
4. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
5. Managing members of the tax team to ensure performance goals, deadlines, and results are met in a timely manner.
6. Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
7. Researching and consulting on various tax matters; utilizing tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
8. Responding to tax authorities on behalf of the company and its subsidiaries regarding audits and other inquiries.
9. Staying current on changes in tax law and accounting procedures to ensure compliance and identify potential impact to the organization.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Manager position will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department, with a focus on 1120S and S Corp.
4. Proven leadership and staff development skills with a strong record of team management.
5. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
