The Senior Income Tax Manager role is located in Atlanta, GA, reporting to the VP of Tax, and will manage all aspects of income taxation, including federal and state income tax, transfer pricing, FBAR, foreign income taxes, and unclaimed property reporting. This position will be expected to fulfill the compliance and lead continuous process improvements.
The Senior Income Tax Manager: manages all income tax activities for the organization; examines accounts and records; reviews computations of taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations; and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
The Senior Income Tax Manager works with the VP of Tax in the development of tax planning initiatives and the identification of potential tax issues and recommends solutions to ensure key tax objectives are met and are appropriately aligned with operational concerns. The candidate should be highly motivated, a strategic thinker, and possess strong analytic, organizational, and project management skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and be responsible for the compliance requirements related to US and state income taxes, FBAR, unclaimed property and any other Non-US income taxes, including transfer pricing.
- Review the Company's income tax compliance to identify opportunities for tax minimization, process efficiencies, and reduction of costs related to income tax compliance.
- Manage outside tax return service providers, reviewing and understanding tax return filings, working directly with the businesses to establish the proper compliance processes, and monitor activity to reduce risk and ultimate tax costs.
Qualifications
- CPA license preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive income tax experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or large multinational company.
- Significant experience in partnerships and flow-through entities.
- Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and reporting requirements.
