A premier fund advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Associate/Manager to join its high-performing team. This is an opportunity to join a $10B AUM Private Equity Fund based in Houston. You'll work with a team of seasoned professionals supporting sophisticated investment structures across the U.S. and Europe.

This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong experience in private equity fund taxation, partnership tax, and cross-border structuring, looking to take ownership in a dynamic and client-facing environment.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage tax compliance and reporting for private equity funds, including complex investment vehicles and cross-border structures
  • Oversee the preparation and review of partnership tax returns and investor K-1s
  • Lead tax structuring for fund formations, acquisitions, financings, and exits
  • Advise on investor-level tax matters, including UBTI, carried interest, and withholding
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and operations teams to implement tax-efficient strategies
  • Monitor and analyze tax legislation relevant to private funds and recommend planning strategies
  • Serve as a key point of contact for investor tax inquiries and communications
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors as needed

What You Bring:

  • 3-7 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within private equity, credit funds, or public accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of partnership taxation, fund structuring, and international tax matters
  • Experience with Schedule K-1s and complex fund compliance requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear and effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
