We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review complex tax returns including 1120, 1120S, 990 and nonprofit tax returns.
2. Conduct thorough tax research and planning, ensuring that all tax liabilities are minimized.
3. Provide assistance during tax audits and respond to tax notices.
4. Identify and mitigate tax risks.
5. Coordinate accounting staff and manage tax compliance workload.
6. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
7. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
8. Maintain and update working knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including new filing practices, deadlines, and any company-specific information.
9. Consult with clients on tax efficient strategies, tax implications of business investments, and other tax related matters.
Job Details
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in public accounting or related field.
4. Proficient in tax compliance and strategy for 1120, 1120S, or 990 tax returns.
5. Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
6. Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
7. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
8. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
9. Analytical skills with detail orientation.
10. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency with a tax software program is a must.
