About the Role: As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment that values innovative thinking, autonomy, and professional growth. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule (4 days in-office, 1 day remote).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, corporate, estate, and trust tax returns
- Conduct tax research and provide planning and consulting services for high-net-worth clients
- Assist with income and estate tax audit representation
- Support clients with issues related to real estate transactions, charitable giving, stock options, and retirement planning
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and feedback
- Collaborate directly with partners and senior associates to deliver top-tier client service
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized service
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or Finance
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a tax accounting role, preferably with exposure to high-net-worth individuals or estates and trusts
- License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to the San Francisco area prior to starting
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
