Your Impact
As a valued team member, you will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing tax and financial documents, mentoring staff, managing projects, and delivering high-quality accounting services. Your contributions directly support our clients' success and uphold the trusted reputation of AccuData & Co. in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit entities.
- Assist with tax planning, projections, and quarterly estimates for high-net-worth individuals and business clients.
- Respond to inquiries and correspondence from the IRS, FTB, and other tax authorities; support clients through tax audits.
- Supervise and support interns and junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to promote growth and learning.
- Conduct and present tax research; contribute to team training on evolving tax laws and best practices.
- Manage multiple client projects, prioritize deadlines, and maintain clear communication with managers and partners.
- Provide outsourced accounting services, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Stay current on tax codes, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting clients.
- Proficiently use accounting and tax software, including QuickBooks and Lacerte.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred).
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in public accounting, with strong experience in both tax and accounting services.
- Experience preparing tax returns for various entities and handling multi-state compliance a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Lacerte, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000
