PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare complex federal and state income tax returns, including supporting work papers for various types of returns such as individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entity types
Extensions and quarterly estimates for individuals and entities
Perform technical research and stay up to date with US and international tax laws Respond to IRS and state taxing authority inquiries
Financial planning, analysis, and other special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
2-6 years of experience in public accounting
Experience with federal and state tax returns for small corporations, partnerships and individuals
Experience with small business financial statement preparation and analysis Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or related field
Creative problem solving and research skills
Excellent organization and project management skills
Preferred :
Previous CPA firm experience
CPA license obtained or in progress
Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proficiency with Lacerte and BNA Tax Planner
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
