ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team in DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. As Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of the network enterprise architecture. The individual designs and implements computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Designs and develops solutions to complex networking problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Performs systems management and integration functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the enterprise architecture, design, development, and deployment of network services in support of government customer; collaborate and capture customer requirements, presenting customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies
Research and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, capabilities, and enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives, while complying with the network architecture and design standards
Produce SELC project artifacts such as requirements, design documents, diagrams, and other required documentation
Troubleshoot network incidents, providing root cause analysis and documenting information in tickets and knowledge repositories
Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation for network configuration upgrades, additions, or revisions
Evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance, and reliability; Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices
Perform site installations, technology refresh, develop implementation plans and schedules Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 12+ years of related experience
8570 Compliant certifications and CCNA certification
Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technology
Experience with primary network topologies, LANs, WANs and other common network standards
Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS, MPLS
Very strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPSEC, and VRF) Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field. Knowledge of specific application domains, such as incident response, digital forensics, or threat hunting. Experience with security tools and technologies commonly used in SOC environments (e.g., SIEMs, IDS/IPS, firewalls). Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C , and scripting languages relevant to security operations (e.g., Bash, PowerShell). Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
